Stencil Girl + Seth Apter = HAPPY

So remember how last month I shared a couple of projects that I created for Stencil Girl?
Check them out HERE....
Well .... I'm thrilled to be designing again for them this month!

Theses are the new Stencils designed by the incredible Seth Apter... This guy is a freaking genius - check his work out HERE ...

This Stencil is right up my alley .... I freaking LOVE it!

"Best. Stencil. Ever!"

I am a Mark Maker from way back!  I LOVE creating different sorts of marks on all my projects and this stencil made it super easy for me to make some awesome marks in my Art Journal!

"I have recently invested in a Dina Wakley Mixed Media Journal and I love the different pages that feature in the Journal – although the hessian pages kinda scare the life out of me!
The face part of this stencil was the perfect solution!
I traced around the edge and then cut out the shape – perfect!
Using Heavy Gesso, I used the number portion and repeated it over the hessian before giving it a generous spray with Lindys Stamp Gang Flat Fabio Sprays.
On the next page, I used some fluro paint for my base, then used Distress Oxides and some of the other patterns to create layers.
I finished it off with some stamping and a few words from American Crafts before adding some Gesso over the top for more dimension!"

Head over to my Instagram to check out a couple more images!

Thanks Stencil Girl for the opportunity to design for you again this month!

Dying for Lindys

Hi there gang!
Today I am sharing the page I created using the November Colour Challenge Sprays.
I have recently fallen in love with my die cutting machine again and really
enjoy creating my own embellishments for my projects!
My latest purchase is a lovely leaf die which was the perfect design for the November Colour Set!  When I first saw this collection, I was instantly reminded of Autumn ... beautiful, rich colours.

It's just the easiest page to re-create...
I started using Marshmallow Cardstock and cut a heap of the leaves.
I divided them into five groups and then gave them all a generous spray using each of the colours.
Once dry, I layered them onto my page, slipping them in under each other to create dimension.

Super simple and effective!

Choose To Shine

Hey there
Today I am sharing a quick and easy Scrapbook Page using the colours from the
September color challenge from Lindys!

This color set was a little challenging for me but the new 7Dots paper was the perfect match and I teamed it with some Imaginarium Designs Chipboard that I could customise to suit!

The paper has a little touch of Blue in it so I wanted to make that pop by adding some Delphinium Turquoise but the Turquoise by itself would be too strong so I added layers under it first.

I started with a coat of clear gesso then once dry, brushed on some Orange Creamsicle. Once dry, I added some Golden Doubloons and allowed it to dry in puddles.P1012228
I love that shimmer ... just divine.
Next I added some splatters ... starting with Golden Doubloons then Sandra Dee Sepia and Delphinium Turquoise. It's important to dry each color in between so that they sit as separate colors and not meld together.

I have created a short process video that you can view here.

Here are a few close ups for you .

Stencil Girl + Gel Press = Awesome

Hey there!
In the last post I showed you the first of 2 projects that I have created as part of the
Stencil Girl Stencil Club for November.

I have been a member of the Stencil Girl Club for a bit over a year or so now and I love it!
You can find the link here ... STENCIL CLUB

I got totally carried away with the November set designed by Nathalie Kalbach
and created a Gel Press Mini book as well!

Snap Shots – Mini Album

I love my Gel Press and creating fun little mini albums.
This stencil set was ideal for a bright mini album featuring some super funny photos from a dinner party we had a little while ago.

I used a simple combination of cool colours and lots of different papers for a great effect!
This stencil set works fantastic for layering  … in fact I found it really hard to stop!

I have also created a You Tube Tutorial for this project

Here are the detailed images of my Mini Album.
